Fo0die dined as a guest of Le Mille Creperie and as such, the rating does not give any consideration to customer service.
Located just in front of Toys R Us in Chadstone Shopping Centre and just off one of the food courts (Chadstone’s store directory calls this section the ‘food atrium’), Le Mille Creperie is located in the middle of the floor.
The venue is petite in size but has managed to cleverly design the area to offer both takeaway and dine in. The decor is a classy mix of pink, gold and black.
The cashier is located at the front of the venue with the crepe cakes on display in a glass cabinet for guests to choose from.
At the back of the venue (the side closer to Toys R Us), a small dine in area is available for those after a pit stop. The area offers two types of seating, one at a bar table that runs along the serving/preparation area and round tables straight behind that. A big group may be hard to accommodate if dining in however the seats at the bar can accommodate five guests with the small round tables seating two each (which you could join up and possibly seat five as well).
The menu is simple with the venue offering a range of different flavoured crepe cakes (12 flavours at the time we dined and all in limited supply), a drink menu and a high tea offering.
We tried four different crepe cakes. Each crepe cake slice was a decent serving size and priced similar to slices of cakes or mini gateaux. Of the four we tried, the standout in flavour was the rocher with the strawberry being the most mildest in flavour.
Each crepe layer was nice and thin and gave each bite a nice texture. Ours on the day also had a bit of roughness/graininess on the surface of some of the crepe layers.
What blew our socks off were surprisingly the fruit teas which are freshly home made with real fruits and can be ordered hot or cold, with the hot available as a pot for two and the cold available as a glass or jug. In terms of flavour the fruit paradise won hands down and was the one recommended by the staff there.
Stocking cakes from Sweetie and Moustache in the CBD, the cute venue is an adorable addition to the busy shopping centre and offers a nice little place to stop by for a quick refresher.
